COURSE/WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION
Artist Demonstrations in The Barn Approx. 1 hour each Enjoy a full day of inspiring demonstrations from local artists inside The Barn Gallery. Drop in for a session, explore the grounds, then return for more! You're welcome to come and go throughout the day. Young people accompanied by a parent or guardian are welcome. Please note: classical art depicting the human form will be on display in the morning. This relaxed, open‑door event is perfect for anyone curious to see artists at work and enjoy a day of creativity at their own pace. What’s Included A variety of engaging demonstrations led by local artists The freedom to join sessions throughout the day at your own pace Demonstration Schedule **Eco Printing with Yvonne Elliott, 11am and 3.30pm** Join Westbury resident textile artist Yvonne Elliott for a chat about scouring, mordanting, rolling, and steaming fabric to make colourful prints using leaves from the garden. Included in your entrance fee: a useful printed ‘how to’ guide; available to buy: mordant packs for pre-treating fabrics at home. **Seasonal Flower Arrangements with Branch Out MK, 10am – 5pm** Join Horticultural Therapist & Project Director, and RHS Chelsea specialty flower medal winner Theresa Wedderburn for a demonstration in Spring Hand Tied Posy & Bouquet; using flowers grown on site at Branch Out MK. **Portrait Painting with Matt Waruszynski, 2.30pm and 4pm** Artist Matt Waruszynski will demonstrate creating a portrait sketch. As he paints, he will talk through each stage of the process from the initial sketch to final details. He will also discuss all the materials used and the struggles of a portrait artist such as trying to capture a likeness. **Old Masters Drawing with Csaba Palotas, 10am, 11.30am and 1pm** Artist Csaba Palotas will offer a live demonstration of classical old‑master drawing. As he works, he’ll share his approach to building a portrait through careful observation, expressive line, and subtle tonal shifts. He’ll talk about his process and the challenges of conveying mood and character. **Meet Westbury Bee Group in The Old Hall** Find Westbury Bee Group in the Old Hall, beside the Armada Door; displaying real hives, educational information about honey bees and offering the opportunity to make a beeswax candle! If the weather is fine, there will also be walks down to the apiary to see where our 800,000 resident honey beeds thrive!

Cancellation Policy
TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR BOOKING WORKSHOPS AND COURSES Payment for classes and workshops You must pay in full for your workshop or course in advance of attending your first class. Withdrawals, transfers and cancellations If you need to withdraw from a course and inform us in writing at least 14 working days before the course is due to start, you will be eligible for a refund of your fees minus £5.00 to cover administration costs. If you withdraw from a course at any other time, you will not be eligible for a refund. However, in exceptional circumstances and at our discretion we may make refunds of some or all of the fees, and will deduct a £5.00 fee for administration. Bookings can be transferred to another course at no additional charge (apart from the difference in course fees) if you inform us at least 14 working days in writing. We will refund your fee in full in the unlikely event that we cancel a course or workshop, for example, due to lack of numbers, tutor ill-health, or other unforeseen circumstances. Class materials Your course/workshop confirmation email will advise you on what materials you need to bring to the class. Unless stated on the workshop details information on our website lunch is NOT provided but free tea and coffee are available. Photography/video By taking part in a WAC course/workshop or event you give full rights to use any images resulting from photography/ filming during the event. Personal data According to the Data Protection Act 2018 we are required to advise you of the uses we will make of the personal data you provide when making a class booking. These are: • To manage your booking, record your attendance, • To contact you in advance of the class to confirm your booking, to remind you of your booking and to advise of any materials you should bring • To contact you in case of changes to the time, date, venue or content • To survey you from time to time on behalf of WAC to gain feedback on your experience and satisfaction with WAC. • To email you our online newsletter l so that you can keep in touch about other WAC courses/workshops events and news. You may unsubscribe from this list at any time.
