ABOUT THE COURSE:
Once you have got the hang of how to mix colours, apply washes and be creative with your brush marks, you will have the basis for all painting.
Find out what the difference is between the various painting media such as acrylics, watercolours and oil paints - and explore what can be done with each.
Discover what sort of equipment is necessary. The right brushes and surfaces to use for each kind of paint are important, as well as knowing how to clean and look after your brushes etc.
You will have a go at painting a variety of subjects: Landscapes, Still Life, Abstract, People…the possibilities are endless!

Materials/Equipment you need to bring
What to bring to the first session:
A set of acrylic paints which include yellow, red, blue and white. *
Brushes that are suitable for use with acrylic paint. *
Canvas paper pad suitable for oils or acrylics. *
Two water pots.
Newspaper and paper towels (or cotton rags).
An old shirt or apron to protect your clothing.
An old sheet or large piece of plastic to protect the floor where you’re working.
