Our body keeps the score of all of our traumas, joys, struggles and triumphs and he seeks to use painting and drawing as a way to understand and tell these stories. He also fascinated by the materiality of paint which he likes to apply paint thickly in an impasto style and sees his method as sculpting with paint. With a background in animation, he is drawn to fast, energetic marks to give a sense of life and movement in his work.
