COURSE/WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION

This engaging workshop welcomes artists of all experience levels, from complete beginners to seasoned painters. It offers an accessible and supportive space for anyone looking to explore their creativity, whether you are new to painting or transitioning from another medium. Participants are invited to work in either oils or acrylics, allowing each artist to choose the medium that best suits their interests and goals. What to expect: The workshop provides a hands-on, inspiring environment where individuals can develop their skills at their own pace. Beginners receive guidance that builds confidence and encourages experimentation, while more experienced artists have the opportunity to refine techniques, deepen their practice, and pursue personal projects. Here’s what past participants had to say about working with Robin: "We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Robin. He perfectly balanced working with someone experienced with a brush (albeit watercolour) and someone very new to painting. Robin also has an astute sense of when to step in and guide and when to leave the student to learn by themselves. Highly recommended!" – Rebecca TUTOR INFORMATION: Robin Souter is a long term resident artist at Westbury Arts Centre, an experienced teacher and retired Consultant surgeon. He aims to encourage creativity in a relaxed and congenial environment. His guiding Mantra is “Enjoy oils and don’t be afraid to experiment.” MATERIALS PROVIDED: We will supply all necessary materials for the session, including paint, brushes, thinners, and cleansing materials.
