About the Event
ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP:
Whether you fancy making a whole set of Winter Accessories or just want to learn how to make a quick pair of fingerless gloves, Headband or Scarf for a Christmas gift or two, this series of workshops at the fabulous Westbury Arts Centre (Milton Keynes), can be booked individually - book 1, 2 or all 3. All 3 sessions will use the same yarn type. See details re yarn in materials provided.
This workshop is suitable for: Level 1 Beginners Maybe you've attended one Nicky's Level 0 Workshops or you can crochet the basic stitches, but haven’t yet mastered granny squares. NOT suitable for absolute beginners (Level 0)
You will learn a new granny square technique, and along with the balls of recycled cotton included, you will be able to realise your own granny square dreams!
ABOUT THE TUTOR:
Nicky Ward is the owner & founder of A heart shaped cherry - a contemporary crochet brand using recycled yarns to design patterns & kits, and to hand make gifts, homewares & accessories. Nicky recently featured in Simply Crochet magazine and am also an Ambassador for Craftember (an initiative to get people crafting to improve mental health). Nicky has a background in graphic design and have always been compelled to craft; taught to crochet (& knit) by her grandmother when she was young, and found a new purpose for her hobby when she discovered recycled yarns, in particular T-shirt yarn - Nicky started by making her own.
Nicky regularly teaches crochet workshops and lessons across Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire & Northamptonshire.
