About the Event
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:
The course will cover how to use a compass and ruler to draw a geometric template, how to trace and transfer this to watercolour paper to create your own composition, and then to use watercolour paints to create a painting. In this session we will look at an eight-fold octagon pattern found at the Taj Mahal.
Each session looks at a different pattern from architecture and can be booked as a stand-alone session.
This course is suitable for beginners who would like to learn how to draw Islamic geometric patterns, the process of drawing with a compass, and those who want to learn watercolour painting techniques
