COURSE/WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION
WHO IS THIS COURSE SUITABLE FOR. - Beginners. - Adults and young people aged 16 and over, provided they are accompanied by an adult. ABOUT THE COURSE: Learn the ancient technique of making a Leaded Stained Glass window unchanged since the middle ages and make your own beautiful creation. Make up your own patterns or choose from a selection of suitable patterns. Learn to choose, cut and shape glass and then lead and cement a panel sized roughly 250 x 250 over 2 days. Please note, leaded panels may need a final clean the day after the course. All tools and materials provided cost £20.00 included in course fee. COURSE AIMS AND OBJECTIVES: Learn how to make patterns for a small stained glass panel or choose from patterns provided. Learn and develop basic glass cutting techniques. Learn how to lead. Learn how to solder and cement. ABOUT THE TUTOR: Jill Fordham is a Cambridge based stained glass artist who has been running a stained glass business making bespoke glass pieces for 30 years either for exhibition or commissions. She has taught stained glass and art courses for 20 years and has more recently been involved in a number of community art projects. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The workshop is scheduled to take place from 10am to 4pm, which includes approximately 30 minutes break for lunch. Refreshments (such as teas and coffees only) available on site. Please bring your lunch with you. LOCATION: This two day workshop will take place in the Barn Gallery. Accessible parking spaces are available to anyone who requires them.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR BOOKING WORKSHOPS AND COURSES Payment for classes and workshops You must pay in full for your workshop or course in advance of attending your first class. Withdrawals, transfers and cancellations If you need to withdraw from a course and inform us in writing at least 14 working days before the course is due to start, you will be eligible for a refund of your fees minus £5.00 to cover administration costs. If you withdraw from a course at any other time, you will not be eligible for a refund. However, in exceptional circumstances and at our discretion we may make refunds of some or all of the fees, and will deduct a £5.00 fee for administration. Bookings can be transferred to another course at no additional charge (apart from the difference in course fees) if you inform us at least 14 working days in writing. We will refund your fee in full in the unlikely event that we cancel a course or workshop, for example, due to lack of numbers, tutor ill-health, or other unforeseen circumstances. Class materials Your course/workshop confirmation email will advise you on what materials you need to bring to the class. Unless stated on the workshop details information on our website lunch is NOT provided but free tea and coffee are available. Photography/video By taking part in a WAC course/workshop or event you give full rights to use any images resulting from photography/ filming during the event. Personal data According to the Data Protection Act 2018 we are required to advise you of the uses we will make of the personal data you provide when making a class booking.
