Kathak Elixir is a free programme rooted in the Indian classical dance form Kathak. Sessions will use gentle, culturally inclusive movement to support reconnection, resilience, and wellbeing in a safe and welcoming environment. A team of dance artists lead participants in improvised movement sessions. Responding to the artist’s voice rather than fixed choreography, participants explore rhythm, gesture, and flow in a mindful, intuitive way. Each person is invited to move within their own comfort and mobility range (including from a chair), making the session fully accessible and adaptable. The session focuses on listening, presence, and embodied response—offering a calming yet expressive experience rooted in the language and spirit of Kathak.
Sessions will take place on Fridays, 11am to 12pm, at The Drawing Room, Westbury Arts Centre, Milton Keynes MK5 6AA, on the following dates:
5th December 2025
19th December 2025
16th January 2026
23rd January 2026
13th February 2026
13th March 2026
Participants can enrol directly via an enrolment form
This project is supported by Arts for Health Milton Keynes, Future Moves, Roehampton University, and is funded by the Milton Keynes Community Foundation.
