A Heartfelt Thank You for Joining Olivia Mansfield’s Flora and Fauna Workshop

We want to extend a warm and heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for Olivia Mansfield’s recent Flora and Fauna mixed-media workshop. It was a joy to spend the day surrounded by such an enthusiastic group of artists.

This workshop is part of a new monthly series designed to help you explore your creativity and personal style through mixed-media art. Each session introduces a fresh theme, and this month’s focus on flora and fauna brought a wonderful sense of vibrancy to the studio. Olivia provided inspiring reference images and materials to help spark imagination.

Throughout the day, Olivia demonstrated a variety of techniques and offered individual guidance and encouragement, creating a space where everyone felt free to experiment and play. Together, we explored figurative elements, still-life observation, collage, intuitive painting, movement, colour, light, and texture. Each participant developing a unique interpretation of the theme.

One of the things that makes this workshop series brilliant is how accessible it is. Whether you're a complete beginner, an improver, or returning to art after some time away, you will feel at home. As one of our recent participants, Karla, so beautifully shared:

“Thank you so much for the recent workshop I attended at your arts centre. It was very well organised and getting instructions about what to bring and to expect prior to the day were excellent. Olivia, the artist who led the session, was very welcoming and created a relaxing environment to just have a go and not to worry too much about getting it wrong. It was great to see the variety of everyone's artwork, it did not matter whether you were a bit of a novice like me or having more experience. I also loved learning a new technique!”
