Figurative Sculpting Course with Asya Dudko - 6 Weeks

INFORMATION ABOUT THE COURSE:

The students will learn the air drying material ‘Paperclay’ and how to use it when creating a 3D form.  The students will be guided in creating a wire support for their sculpture and will be given a demonstration on utilizing various techniques when sculpting, then they will texture the surface and paint it in the unique technique designed by the artist.

During the workshop the students will use images or sketches of their chosen subject that they have sourced to create a character (Various sculptures made by the artist will be provided as samples). The students will then sculpt the figure and refine it with shaping tools and sandpaper, a variety of textures will be explored while imprinting the surface and detailing the character.
