COURSE/WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION

Take some time out from the pace of everyday life and discover the calming, creative practice of drawing mandalas - using a canvas board, the end result will be something beautiful to take home or pass on as a gift. Beginning with a central point, you'll be guided step by step to create your own unique geometric mandala using simple shapes, lines and patterns. The session starts with a gentle guided meditation, followed by an introduction to the history of mandalas and how the drawing process can become a mindful, meditative practice. As your attention settles on each mark and pattern, you'll find space to slow down, focus on the present moment and enjoy the simple pleasure of making. No previous art experience is needed. Whether you're a complete beginner or a regular creative, you'll be supported throughout and leave with a finished mandala to take home. All materials are provided. About the tutor Nina Saroi is a mandala artist, mindful art facilitator and yoga teacher based in Milton Keynes. Through nina.yoga.art, she leads beginner-friendly workshops that combine creativity and mindfulness, using mandala-making as a calming and accessible way to encourage focus, self-expression and wellbeing. Alongside her art practice, Nina has over eight years' experience teaching yoga, including Family Yoga and Restorative Yoga. She has worked with children, families and adults of all abilities, and has supported both Restorative Yoga and Mindfulness Teacher Training programmes. Her workshops provide a welcoming space where participants can relax, connect with their creativity and enjoy the process of making without pressure or expectation. Location This workshop will take place in the Drawing Room. The Drawing Room is situated on the ground floor of Westbury Arts Centre. Accessible parking spaces are available to anyone who requires them.
