Westbury Arts Centre are committed to safeguarding the privacy of our users which is why we have developed our privacy policy, setting out how we use the information you provide us, why we do this and how the law protects you.
Information we collect
Westbury Arts Centre collects information from the public in a number of different ways. For example, we may obtain information about you when
you sign up for a course, take part in one of our workshops or events, sign up to our newsletter, request to volunteer with us or make a donation.
The sort of personal information we collect about you may include your name, mailing address, telephone number, e-mail address and bank/ credit card details when taking payments.
If a child attends one of our half-term workshops we ask for emergency contact information from the parent or guardian which requires participant name, parent or guardian name, address, emergency contact information, participant date of birth, information on any allergies and/or medical conditions, medication, other critical information regarding the participant’s physical/emotional well-being.
If you have given us your consent, we will contact you with information and updates on our work and how you can support us.
How we use your personal information
We collect, store and process your personal data to improve your experience with Westbury Arts Centre. We may use your personal information to:

If you use a card to buy something or pay to attend an event online, we will ensure that this is done securely. We will not store your credit or debit card details.
Sharing personal data
We will never disclose your personal data to any third parties or external organisations, other than our bulk email distributor, MailChimp.
We will not sell, distribute or disclose your information to any other third parties.
How we keep your information safe
We understand the importance of security of your personal information and take appropriate steps to safeguard it. Paper copies of personal data are kept in cabinet in a locked office. Our systems are password protected. We always ensure only authorised persons have access to your information and that everyone who has access is appropriately trained to manage your information. No data transmission over the internet can however be guaranteed to be 100% secure. So, while we strive to safeguard your information, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you provide online and you do this at your own risk. We destroy any personal data (paper and electronic) that is no longer required either because it is after the date that we need to keep it or because we just can't justify holding it (this includes electronic files)
Accessing or amending your personal data
Under General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), effective from 25 May 2018, you have the right to see the personal data we hold about you.
If you would like to request the personal data we hold about you, also known as a Subject Access Request, you will need to provide us with the information you are seeking and give proof of identity. Please send this in writing to:

Marketing and opting out
If you have given permission, we may contact you about our services and charitable causes that may be of interest to you. After having given permission you decide that you no longer wish to receive any direct marketing communications from us, you can withdraw your permission at any time.
