Joe Little appointed as Chair of Trustees for Westbury Arts Centre

Westbury Arts Centre has just appointed Joe Little as its chair of Trustees.
Joe, who served as a Board member since 2024, recently stepped back from his full-time role that focused on sustainability in the fashion industry.
With a lifelong passion for art and painting, Joe has had a studio at Westbury Arts Centre since 2015, where he paints, teaches workshops and exhibits his work.
Joe has been delighted at the levels of enthusiasm and participation in the events, courses and workshops hosted by Westbury Arts Centre and the commitment and energy of the volunteers that help keep Westbury going.
Joe feels that Westbury Arts Centre occupies a very special place in Milton Keynes. “We have all created a community where creativity in all its forms is celebrated in a safe space for everyone to come and feel inspired, supported and proud.”
He believes that affordable access to arts and culture is important for our community: “I feel very positive about the future for creative arts in Milton Keynes. While it does take time to establish the arts in a new city, and more funding always helps, the success of MK Gallery and the International Festival (IF) show the level of interest in the arts in Milton Keynes.”
Talking about his role as Chair, Joe aims to bring a blend of strategic leadership, creative vision and a deep commitment to the ambitions of Westbury Arts Centre as a charitable arts organisation. He says: “I'm looking forward to working with a talented and passionate community of artists, trustees and volunteers to shape the future of Westbury. It is about helping more people access and benefit from the arts, whilst ensuring the centre thrives sustainably for years to come. We have a strong foundation, a community of volunteers, artists, students, visitors and trustees who all 'belong'. Together we must enable even more people feel welcome and belong here at Westbury”.
The current Chair of Trustees, David Harbey, will focus on his role as Treasurer.
