JOE LITTLE

Oil Painter

image001_edited.jpg

Joe has been a Westbury artist since 2015.

His art is a journey over sky, land and sea.

He studied textiles and clothing at Scottish College of Textiles (Heriot Watt University).

With more than 30 years in the fashion and clothing industry, he runs workshops globally; sharing his knowledge on textiles, colour and the sustainable sourcing of fibres, yarns, fabric and garments.

Joe works for Tesco and advises on joint industry initiatives with other brands and retailers as well as advising UK Government APPG (all political party groups) on sustainable fashion.

He mostly works on client commissions but also takes time out to support World Oceans Day.

The “silk route” and “spice colours” form the natural themes of his life, work and his art. He allows the impermanence of colours, cultures and diversities of the silk route to find permanence of life on his canvas.

The oceans is a particular passion for Joe and he sits on a cross industry round table to study the impact of plastic micro fibres on our oceans.

Workshops and tuition available for individuals or small groups.
