About the Event
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:
This course is for total beginners or for those who would like to gain confidence with their sewing.
This may be a beginners sewing course but over six weeks you will also make 6 really lovely practical items while you learn.
You will use quality fabrics designed by Steph and carefully selected for each project. Every week you will go home with a finished item to show off to your friends and family.
This course is about immersing yourself in the joy of creativity, ditching perfectionism and embracing the fun of creating.
Not only will you come away with a completed item each week, you will also learn how to:
-Thread your sewing machine.
-Wind and insert a bobbin.
-Feed fabric through the machine.
-Sew in a straight line, change direction and reverse stitch.
-Troubleshoot about common problems.
Plus each week you’ll make:
19th Sept - A drawstring bag
26th Sept - A reversible tote bag
3rd Oct - A fun hen doorstop
10th Oct - A patchwork mat
17th Oct - A zip pouch - you will learn how to insert a zip.
24th Oct - A cushion cover with a buttonhole
Steph has over 35 years of experience of sewing and making things and is keen to share her love of creating, so please join her for the chance to learn, make and grow. Her classes are small and she takes things at your pace.
