Introduction to tapestry weaving: a taster day

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:

Tapestry weaving is a centuries-old practice in which threads are woven back and forth across a warp to gradually build images, shapes and areas of colour.

This one-day taster workshop introduces the basic techniques of tapestry weaving and gives you the chance to start weaving for yourself.

Working on a ready-warped simple frame loom, you will learn how to weave your own tapestry, including basic weaving, creating shapes and weaving lines. At the end of the day, you can take your frame loom home with you.
