ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:

Watercolour  is a wonderful medium to paint blooms, particularly pretty white and pink apple blossoms. Using wet into wet techniques, create bold and beautiful floral artworks. Using wet into wet techniques, painting at a bold, brave scale to help loosen up our brushwork.  Nicky is well known for creating  bold and beautiful floral artworks in her signature  expressive style. Watercolours can become a little tight and lackluster so you will be encouraged to free up your paintings and lift them from drab to fab ignited with light and colour!

Students will use wet into wet and wet into dry techniques, limiting the layers and using lively direct brushwork and marks to keep foliage looking interesting  and lively rather than fussy and stiff .Gain a better understanding of colour mixing and using a limited  palette to avoid dull muddied colours, learn how to mix and use various shades…
