About the Event

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:

Create a loose and lively painting of this enchanting subject using the wet into wet Watercolour method which is perfect to capture simple architectural structures, atmospheric landscape  and dynamic reflections.

We will use a vibrant yet limited colour palate to explore balancing and harmony in colour and tone , particularly the challenge shades of green can pose in a landscape painting.

This workshop is not appropriate for absolute beginners. Please see other options Westbury Art Centre has to offer if you have no painting experience and wish to try something for beginners before progressing to mixed level workshops with Nicky.

ABOUT THE TUTOR:

Artist Nicky Hunter is an accomplished artist and textile designer who tutors watercolour workshops at art schools and art societies around the country;  as one of Westbury's resident artists she also teaches regularly at Westbury Art Centre Friday and Saturday workshops approximately once a month.

The aim is to support you on your watercolour journey, learn new techniques and  methods to improve your painting skills particularly in the loose and dynamic style which Nicky is so well known for. If you love florals, landscapes, birds, animals and natural and organic subjects the content of these workshops will inspire you.
