ABOUT THE TUTOR:
Gill is a freelance professional artist, student and educator, working and volunteering with local charities and education settings in the arts sector, focusing on young people, mental health and curation.
She has experience in many techniques and media, with contemporary drawing being her specialism.
She completed her foundation diploma in Art & Design at Milton Keynes College before enrolling on her degree course.
At university, Gill had time and space to investigate skills and experiences, challenge preconceptions, push boundaries, then hone her resulting strengths.
During these studies, she took inspiration and reference from artists who also, either fill the page with subconscious, intricate marks, as did Madge Gill and Unica Zurn, or use rules such as Bridget Riley and Sol LeWitt.
Responding to “Line Let Loose” by David Maclagen, she challenges herself to consider the psychology of ‘meta-doodling’, which is leading to a richer appreciation and distillation of her work
COST:
£120
