COURSE/WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION
WHO IS THIS COURSE SUITABLE FOR? The course is suitable for beginners or improvers; this is a good way to learn drawing techniques and challenge your brain. ABOUT THE COURSE: Tutor Joanna Stone will be demonstrating how to draw the human figure in proportion as well as showing how to use a selection of media such as pencil, charcoal and pastel to create lively work. Sessions will stretch and develop drawing skills. Beginners are very welcome, as well as anyone who wishes to brush up on their life drawing skills ABOUT THE TUTOR: Tutor: Joanna Stone Joanna gained a degree in Fine Art at Loughborough University, and a post-graduate Art Teacher’s Certificate at Goldsmiths University. She has continued to make Art and teach ever since. Joanna is a resident artist at Westbury Arts Centre, where she has her studio and where she also runs classes and workshops. To see some of Joanna's art work, visit www.joannastoneartist.com and her Instagram page @joannaestone MATERIALS/EQUIPMENT YOU NEED TO BRING: A couple of soft drawing pencils (such as 3B and 6B) Willow Charcoal ( a box of mixed thicknesses is best) Putty Rubber. MATERIALS PROVIDED: No materials or equipment are provided, although drawing boards and easels are available to borrow during sessions. LOCATION: Drawing Room. The Drawing Room is situated on the ground floor of Westbury Arts Centre. Accessible parking spaces are available to anyone who requires it. We are happy to offer assistance to visitors wherever possible, upon prior arrangements.
