About the Event
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:
We will use a limited colour palate and explore temperature and transparency and a dynamic direct brushwork using limited layers to make our artworks feel fresh unfussy and atmospheric. Nicky will demo the stages of a painting and watercolour techniques which you will then use to create your own painting in an expressive and loose watercolour style, she will give demos and one to one guidance and support to help your painting skills progress. You can transfer the tips, tricks and knowledge Nicky offers to many subject matters in watercolour.
Build a regular watercolour practice in a friendly, encouraging class packed with demos and 1 to 1 support from an enthusiastic tutor. You will go home with a painting or two on a certain theme and a bundle of new painting skills and knowledge to develop your confidence and ability to produce successful artworks in the workshop and at home.
This workshop is not appropriate for absolute beginners. Please see other options Westbury Art Centre has to offer if you have no painting experience and wish to try something for beginners before progressing to mixed level workshops with Nicky.
